Past Present Future
24" X 16" Original Oil on Wood Panel
Price: $3,700.
"Past Present Future" metaphorically captures the blending of time tenses through a surreal aquatic scene.
The anchored boats symbolize fixed moments: the weathered brown one on the left evokes the past (aged and reflective in the water, like memories lingering below the surface), the central pinkish boat represents the present (vibrant and occupied by the girl actively engaging), and the reddish one on the right hints at the future (distant and untethered, pulling toward the horizon).
The girl in the yellow dress, standing dynamically while holding a large fish, embodies living in the now but interacting with timeless elements—fish swimming freely across air and water, defying boundaries to suggest ideas, emotions, or experiences that flow fluidly between eras. The seagull overhead adds a sense of eternal oversight, implying that all tenses coexist in a single, dreamlike continuum, much like mindfulness or imagination collapsing time into one experiential whole.
